Peace Through Travel LLC and Women Travel for Peace seek an outstanding student to support us as we grow in the exciting sustainable travel and social tourism industry. The Intern will assist web staff in researching and compiling a database of responsible travel projects and women’s community projects around the world. S/he will be responsible for extensive online research and compilation of this information, as well as communication with these projects.

This is an excellent learning opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate individual studying sustainable tourism, women’s studies or computer science.

The ideal candidate must:

Have completed at least two years of college
Have a strong interest in sustainable travel and social tourism
Have proven research skills, particularly online
Have proven communication skills, both oral and written
Have a strong work ethic
Be comfortable and gracious with cross-cultural communication
Be detail-oriented
Be well organized
Be a self-starter with proven ability to work independently
Be highly reliable.
Computer skills preferred (Microsoft Office and html)
