Peace Through Travel: 2008 In November 2008, our sister company launched our first voluntourism adventure for women: Women Travel for Peace: Senegal. Our intrepid travelers financed and joined in the construction of a well for a rural women’s agricultural project. Working, laughing and celebrating together with our West African sisters, the travelers were ‘touched,’ ‘liberated,’ and ‘grateful’ for the opportunity.
